For a myriad of reasons, but mostly to sort out many of the options available to consumers AND prevent costly mistakes (perhaps for a “DIY” project):

Professional design services/advice/consultation for mini-projects such as paint color selections, furniture layout, and materials selections on items like flooring, cabinetry, and window coverings.

Or,  design a “room-at-a-time” on a set fee basis which would include your furniture layout including a plan you can keep and use, paint colors and specific items you might want me to recommend.

If you are moving this is a perfect way to get simple professional assistance whether you are  up-sizing or downsizing.   We can evaluate what you have now as compared with how you want to use your new space.  Does it make sense to keep what you have or rework it or replace it?  Start with a plan and a wish list and proceed from there.

We can help “stage” your home for potential buyers with your own furnishings.

If you are not in the Chicago area, we can work long-distance to put together your design program including layouts, color and materials selections, and recommendations for furnishings and accessories. I have worked with out-of-town clients for a long time and it can now be done “virtually”.

Fees would be determined based on the scope of the Project when we discuss the work, and payment in full is expected when the services are performed. Any fees incurred can be credited toward a full-scope contract for Interior Design services.

Product/merchandise and/or purchase of vendors and artisans’ services are not included within these fees.
